Stryker's 100 Miles Challenge

How helping critically ill patients helped to bring Stryker’s team together in Cork

Over the last two years, leading global MedTech firm Stryker have run our 100 Miles in a Month challenge across their site on Model Farm Road in Cork, which employs over 1,200 staff.

The challenge helped to support the physical and emotional wellbeing across the site and improve fitness levels. Together the team raised over €28,000 to help critically patients from all over Ireland needing care at the Mater.

Staff engaged in many different ways, in fact one of the team, William Preston, organised his own head and beard shave fundraiser, sacrificing his luscious locks, raising €900, and managing to get his hair cut free of charge in the process!
