Future Needs

As the Mater Hospital strives to improve patient care, your support is key to making this a reality

Future Needs

The Mater Foundation is being relied upon to raise more and more funds for vital projects within the Mater Hospital. We need to raise €4 million each year to ensure important equipment is purchased, patient comfort is improved, and research is carried out to advance care in the hospital. As always, you – our supporters – are the key to this. A gift, no matter how small, can have an extraordinary impact.

Below are some projects we are fundraising to complete in the future.

  • Physiotherapy rehabilitation equipment for cardiothoracic and transplant patients to enable them to get back on their feet after surgery and assist them return to home quickly
  • Specialised equipment to soothe anxious and confused dementia patients in the Mater’s post-acute care centre in Fairview
  • A respiratory ultrasound scanner for use as a bedside imaging tool to aid in timely diagnosis and treatment of patients
  • Family rooms that provide quiet, calm space away from busy wards so families of patients can speak with hospital staff and take time to stay together close to their loved one.

If you would like to help us reach our fundraising goals for these and other projects in the Mater Hospital, please considering donating today or call us on (01) 8303482 or email contact@materfoundation.ie
