Want to be part of the Mater Foundation’s Dublin Marathon Team this October and support our amazing hospital?
Over 20,000 people take part in the Dublin marathon each year. The event is run on single-lap course is reasonably flat and winds through Dublin city and surrounding suburbs, passing through the Phoenix Park and finishing in the city centre at Merrion Square.
This year’s event takes place on Sunday, 29th October. As always there is a high demand for places, which are allocated via the official lottery. Here at the Mater Foundation, we have a selected number of reserved spaces available.
How to ‘Run for Us’?
Step One: Contact our Community & Events Specialist, Angi, to register for one of our team places and pay your event deposit – AMcNulty@materfoundation.ie
Step Two: To help you reach your fundraising goals, set up an online donation page on Just Giving where your friends, family and colleagues can support you.
Step Three: We’ll send you one of our t-shirts so you can proudly sport our colours while you run.

If you’ve already secured your place in the event, and you’re looking for a good cause to run for, then join our Team. Funds raised will support projects that will positively impact patient care at The Mater Public Hospital.
