Give in Memory

Remember a special person by making a gift in their memory to the Mater Foundation

Give in Memory

Celebrate the life of a loved one who has had a very personal experience in the Mater Hospital by making a special gift in their memory. You might consider a donation if you were particularly touched by the care they received, or if indeed, you spent time there.  Your gesture has the potential to make a lasting impact on the lives of many others who are yet to be treated by the Mater Hospital.

Collections at Funerals or Services

Gathering to remember the life of a loved one at a funeral or memorial service is an emotional time, but holding a collection with family and friends is a positive and comforting way to help celebrate this life, while ensuring the Mater Foundation can continue to help shape the future of patient care within the hospital. We can provide donation envelopes which can be distributed for family and friends

Donation in lieu of flowers

If you would like to request donations to the Mater Foundation you can notify family and friends by including some information in the death notice of your loved one, for example:
“We kindly request donations in lieu of flowers to the Mater Foundation, 53-54 Eccles Street, Dublin 7. Tel: 01 830 3482”

Once-off Donation

You might also wish to make a once-off donation, and if so, you can do so by giving online, by sending a cheque or postal order made payable to ‘The Mater Foundation’ in the post, or by calling us with banking details.
Any donations being sent by post should be addressed to:
The Mater Foundation,
53-54 Eccles St.,
Dublin 7,
