Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and, this February, we are excited to
invite you to take part in our brand-new Big Heart Appeal to enhance cardiac care. This spring, you can show some love for heart patients in the Mater Hospital by throwing on your best red outfit and hosting a Big Heart themed get-together with friends, neighbours or colleagues.
How to get involved
There are so many ways to get involved, make this a truly memorable Valentine’s Day and raise vital funds for patients with life-threatening heart conditions:
1. Wear your heart on your sleeve – Throw on your fanciest red attire and get together for a special Galentine’s soirée or host an event and invite all your friends and family to dress up!
2. Paint the town red – Host a Big Heart themed breakfast, bake sale or brunch at home or in the office and invite all your loved ones or work buddies to join in the fun.
3. Make a splash for heart care – Do it your own way and help us raise awareness and vital funds to mend broken hearts this February.

Host a Big Heart Appeal get-together in your workplace
The Big Heart Appeal is a fun new campaign, where big-hearted businesses all over Ireland can Wear Red and host a fun get-together this Valentine’s
Day.
Help mend broken hearts in the Mater Hospital by dressing up with your team in your finest red attire. Host a red themed bake-sale or brunch, a heart healthy breakfast, or a fun fitness challenge.

Help us mend broken hearts
The Mater Hospital is Ireland’s major centre for specialist heart care. Our highly-skilled consultants, doctors, nurses and support teams dedicate themselves to saving lives, providing specialist treatment to people from across the country and keeping hearts beating strong.
When every second counts, state-of-the-art equipment saves lives. Big-hearted supporters like you have already made a huge difference for our patients by funding advanced life-support equipment for our ICU and supporting our Family Heart Screening Clinic.
By taking part in this February’s Big Heart Appeal, you’ll be helping us fund state-of-the-art genetic testing equipment to help diagnose serious heart conditions and help save lives.

Funds raised on Just Giving or iDonate will be automatically transferred to the Mater Hospital Foundation, so if you’re fundraising that way, your funds will come directly to us!
