How to get involved
There are so many ways to get involved, have a truly memorable event and raise vital funds for patients with life-threatening heart conditions:
1. Wear your heart on your sleeve – Throw on your fanciest red attire and get together for a special Galentine’s soirée or host an event and invite all your friends and family to dress up!
2. Paint the town red – Host a Big Heart themed breakfast, bake sale or brunch at home or in the office and invite all your loved ones or work buddies to join in the fun.
3. Make a splash for heart care – Do it your own way and help us raise awareness and vital funds to mend broken hearts.

The Big Heart Appeal is a fun campaign, where big-hearted businesses all over Ireland can Wear Red and host a fun heart-themed get-together.

The Mater Hospital is Ireland’s major centre for specialist heart care. Our highly-skilled consultants, doctors, nurses and support teams dedicate themselves to saving lives, providing specialist treatment to people from across the country and keeping hearts beating strong.
When every second counts, state-of-the-art equipment saves lives. Big-hearted supporters like you have already made a huge difference for our patients by funding advanced life-support equipment for our ICU, supporting our Family Heart Screening Clinic and state-of-the-art genetic testing equipment to help diagnose serious heart conditions and help save lives.
