Volunteer FAQs
Complete the interest form here. Let us know about your interests and availability. Tom from our volunteer team will be in touch to clarify some additional information and provide details on the opportunities currently available.
If there is a suitable position available, you’ll be asked to fill out an application form. Then, Tom will organise to meet for a chat and provide a role outline to see if you wish to proceed.
Volunteers come from all walks of life. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. You will need to have available hours suitable to the position. You will have enthusiasm, passion, commitment and good communication skills.
As a volunteer you will receive induction training relevant to your role. This information will help you understand the role of the Mater Hospital Foundation, as well as your role as a volunteer within the organisation. You will also receive regular support from your supervisor and the team at the Foundation.
Previous experience isn’t necessary. We are looking for individuals with a helpful, positive approach who enjoy communicating and building relationships face to face.
