We are delighted to announce that the Aer Arann Islands Half Marathon will be back this coming spring, taking place on the stunning island of Inis Mór from 10th – 12th April 2026.
The Half Marathon is a unique opportunity to run, walk or jog in the spectacular and scenic surroundings of Inis Mór and to soak up the atmosphere, ceol and culture that the island has to offer.
The crucial funds you raise through the Aer Arann Half Marathon will allow our doctors and nurses to provide the very best care to critically ill patients when they need it most.

The event is scheduled to take place on the weekend of 10th – 12th April, with the marathon itself taking place on Saturday, 11th April 2026.
The weekend package is €750 (€650 fundraising plus €100 deposit)
Limited single occupancy rooms are available and a single supplement applies. The package includes flights from Inverin to Inis Mór return, two nights B&B, two dinners, marathon entry and event merchandise.
The one night package is €600 (€500 fundraising plus €100 deposit)

The Mater Hospital Foundation uses Eventmaster for ticket sales and fundraising. When you purchase your event ticket, you will automatically be given your own personalised fundraising page. If you require a sponsorship card for offline fundraising, you will have the option to request that on the registration form. All participants must commit to meet their fundraising target in advance of the event.
Yes! All participants in the Aer Arann Islands Half Marathon will receive their medal at the finish line.
No, the Aer Arann Islands Half Marathon is not timed.
Absolutely! The Aer Arann Islands Half Marathon is open to runners, joggers and walkers and you can take the course at your own pace entirely.
