Join our Dublin Marathon Team for 2019

Whether you’re a complete beginner or serious runner, why not ‘Make Your Miles Mater’ by joining our team for the Dublin Marathon? We are aiming to raise money to help enhance patient care at the Mater Hospital and we would love your support!

Internationally renowned for the warm welcome offered by its spectators, the event is expected to attract over 15,000 people. Now in its 40th year, the marathon will take place on Sunday, 27th October 2019.

The 26.2 mile long course starts and finishes close to the city centre, passing by many of Dublin’s famous landmarks, including a run through Phoenix Park – the largest enclosed park in Europe.

We would love for you to join us – make the Mater Foundation your charity for the Dublin Marathon, and help us make a lasting impact to patient care in the Mater Hospital.

“I see everyday the impact of fundraising I’ve done and also what other people have done. I work in St Vincent’s Ward and can tell you that patients and families appreciate the little things done for them when they are in a very difficult time. Raising money for a family room or the Mater family hospital, for example, means the world of difference to a patient whose loved ones live outside of North Dublin. It means the comfort of regular visits when you’re very sick.”

David Nethaway, who ran the 2014, 2015 and 2016 Dublin Marathons for the Mater Foundation
