You never know when someone you love will become one of the 66,000 emergency patients we treat each year. None of us plans to be the one person in three who will suffer from heart disease or stroke. At the Mater Foundation we need your help to be ready for when you need us.
The Mater Misericordiae General Hospital serves a rapidly growing and aging population. The hospital needs and wants to be ready for that growth with the best life-saving and medical equipment, trained healthcare professionals and a healing environment. The government provides for basic healthcare but cannot promise more.
The Mater Foundation exists to provide the additional but necessary resources required to provide excellence in services and facilities at the hospital. It is these 'extras' that we furnish, with your help that allows us to help save lives and restore health to the thousands of people from all over the country who come to our doors every year.
