Dr Joseph Galvin

Dr. Joe Galvin is a Consultant Cardiologist / Electrophysiologist attached to the Mater and Connolly Hospitals in Dublin. He qualified from RCSI in 1988 and trained in New York, Vermont and Boston. His special interests are Cardiac Arrhythmias, catheter ablation and prevention of sudden arrhythmic death. Dr Galvin is a national opinion leader in the field on sudden death, and he is also principle investigator in the sudden cardiac death registry project.

Dr Ted Keelan

Dr Ted Keelan

Dr Keelan graduated in Medicine from UCD, and trained in Cardiology in the Mater, the Hammersmith Hospital in London, the Mayo Clinic and Milwaukee. He is a consultant cardiologist with special interest in electrophysiology and arrhythmia, and he holds appointments to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown and the Mater Misericordiae Hospital.

Dr Niall Mahon

Dr Niall Mahon

Dr Mahon is a medical graduate of UCD. He has worked in Cardiology in hospitals in Ireland, in St. George's Hospital in London, and in the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. He now holds an appointment in the Mater Misericordiae Hospital as a consultant cardiologist with a special interest in cardiomyopathy and heart failure.

Dr Niall Mahon

Dr James O'Neill

Dr O'Neill is a UCD graduate. He trained in Cardiology in the Mater and Connolly Hospitals, and after a fellowship in the Cleveland Clinic, now has an appointment to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown and the Mater Misericordiae Hospital as a consultant cardiologist with a special interest in heart failure.

Dr Catherine McGorrian

Dr Catherine McGorrian

Dr McGorrian is a cardiologist and epidemiologist. She trained in the Mater and AMNCH hospitals in Ireland, and in McMaster Hospital in Canada. She works as a cardiologist in the Heart House Family Screening unit, and is coordinating the Heart House research projects.

Ms Catherine O'Donnell

Ms Catherine O'Donnell

Ms O'Donnell is a specialist nurse in cardiology. She has worked in the Mater Misericordiae Hospital as an arrhythmia specialist nurse. Since January 2007 she has specialised in family heart screening, and has coordinated services in the Heart House family screening unit. She has been a speaker at national cardiac death study days.
