Cathy & Jack's Wedding
We are both looking forward to our wedding and celebrating with family and friends on 28th May. We feel blessed and have everything that we need so in lieu of wedding gifts would rather a small donation to our two chosen charities. SADS in memory of Eoin Sheill and Cancer Research in memory of Mary B Corrigan.
If you would like to make a donation to our chosen charities please click here.
The Mater Heart Appeal exists to fund the Mater Hospital's Family Heart Screening Clinic. The clinic was established in 2007 to provide a non clinical, holistic clinic for immediate family members who have lost a loved one to Sudden Adult Death Syndrome - SADS. The aim of The Family Heart Screening Clinic is to try and reduce the incidence of these tragic deaths through screening relatives for hereditary conditions therefore preventing more needless and untimely deaths. The clinic to date receives no Government funding therefore relies solely on donations and fundraising.
In 2010 the Mater Foundation launched their biggest Cancer Research Appeal to date. All money raised from the Mater Cancer Research Appeal will go towards research incorporating the following types of cancer, Leukaemia, Myeloma, Breast Cancer and Melanoma. Money raised from the appeal will allow the team to work together to investigate novel therapy for cancer. In particular they are working to develop a common biobank that will facilitate focused research that is applicable to multiple cancer subtypes.
